Masks are required for those 5 years and older starting Saturday, December 18 at both St. Anthony and St. Barbara churches.

Friends of St. Anthony


The Friends of St. Anthony is designed to follow the teachings of the Patron, St. Anthony of Padua, who was always willing to help the poor and those in need.



The Friends seek donations from parishioners as well as from local vendors and utilize the services of St. Vincent de Paul for food items.  Thanksgiving dinners are distributed to those less fortunate.  Hot turkey dinners are provided to the hombound.

Helping Our Troops:

We assist Helping Our Troops (H.O.T.) in Stoneham prepare packages to send to our service men and women mothly (usually the second tuesday of each month).  Packages are also sent for christmas, Halloween, and on other occasions.


Because of the kindness of our parishioners, the Friends are able to provide Christmas gifts to local families.  Toys, for those families with eligible children, are provided through Toys for Local Kids.  The Friends craft memorial baskets and wreaths that are sold before and after Mass at St. Anthony Church.  

valentines day:

Our homebound and elderly are remembered with a special valentine presient and a visit by one of our extraordinary ministers who bring them holy communion, a parish bulletin and the blessings of our parish.


families recieve a complete easter dinner, blessed palms and an easter card from our parish.




at least twice a month the homebound or elderly who are unable to attend holy mass are visited by an extraordinary minister or holy communion.
